Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can resize up or down from the control panel in a few minutes. When you resize up, your server keeps its address and your data stays exactly where it is.
What does annual billing save?
Paying yearly takes 20% off the monthly price on Wisp, Cirrus and Nimbus. Your plan renews each year, and you can switch back to monthly at renewal.
What happens if I go over my transfer allowance?
Nothing dramatic. We will email you at 80% and 100% of your allowance, and you can upgrade or buy extra transfer in blocks. We never switch a site off for being popular.
Do I get root access?
Yes, on every VPS plan. You choose the operating system image, and you have full control over what runs on it.
Are backups really included?
Yes. Afterglow snapshots are part of every plan, with retention that grows as you move up. Snapshots are encrypted and stored in a separate region.
Can I host email with my plan?
Lumen Mail is included on every plan, with mailboxes over IMAP and SMTP and calendars over CalDAV. You can also run your own mail server if you prefer, and our guides show you how.
What is Stratus?
Stratus is for teams with larger or more specialised needs: dedicated hardware, private networking, single sign-on and a named technical contact. Talk to sales and we will shape a plan around your workload.
